I actually had a negative experience some time ago with this place. I never got to attend any classes here because the owner(?) told me to go elsewhere over e-mail. Basically I contacted them to try training out there and I was asked what my reasons were behind wanting to start working out. I said that I wanted to lose weight for my own self image. I’ve been at The Gym for a full 12 months now and what started as just a change of gyms has become a massive improvement to my physical and mental well-being. I came to Missy with the aim of wanting to learn olympic lifting from an experienced coach. Yes, we ticked that box and then we started fixing a chronic long term shoulder issue, started squatting lower despite my arthritic knee and stopped paying for unnecessary massages. I had seen The Gym in my hood (Naremburn) 3 years ago, but only recently as of 4 months ago joined. I wish I'd done it sooner! My anxieties on what to expect from gyms having never stepped foot in one where proven wrong! MISSY our gym Coach/Mum/Mate (she wears a lot of 'hats') makes you feel at ease with her sound knowledge & experience in this industry. I love the comradeship & community with our members. Couldn't be more happy to have found The Gym!
The Gym is so much more than a gym! It is run by people who genuinely care about your wellbeing and everyone that attends are like minded and fun. Missy, Matt and Will are incredibly attentive and knowledgeable coaches who create an awesome environment to train in. I always look forward to my classes at The Gym.
