Great experience - the crowd was great, very respectful - being our first time it was nice to go somewhere that the crowds weren't rowdy. We will return, but next year plan it at a time where we can watch a concert or two.

I love this place, but at Christmas time it was pretty whacked. Paid $11 bucks for walk around for 10 mins and the $3 hot chocolate was watered down. Total that up to $13 I could of went to zoo lights. Just saying
It was lovely - even with all the people there, I felt at peace.
Many memories and feelings of serenity throughout, people are so respectful there, sometimes wish there weren't so many 'saints statues' displayed but they do a beautiful joyous job every year! Thankful for this beautiful place in Portland.
Year-round, the Grotto is a beautiful place to catch some moments of quiet reflection amidst the bustle of the city and craziness of life. The grounds on the upper level are easily worth the price of the elevator ride. It was Soo beautiful. The walk through the Christmas lights was amazing. My daughter had a blast. Didn't need to spend a lot of time outside either. The live chior and puppet show were her second favorites next to the lights.
