On point!!! Best grilled cheese I had in years!!!!
Was there yestetday. Had "night in Amsterdam " sans the cheddar plus bacon. It was delish! The staff was lovely. Being a first timer I had questions, staff kind and patient. So going back for the Artist and some of that short rib!
It took us too long to come try this little gem of a place. Great food, great old school vibe; and a beer to top it off!
It was okay.....We went there because of all the fabulous photos of these grilled cheese sandwiches. I asked for cheddar they used American, I asked for no tomatoes, they added tomatoes. It didn't look like these photos for sure. It was just a grilled cheese sandwich that was okay. We went and now we don't have to go back.
I tried them for the first time on Monday and had "the artist" with tomato basil soup. The soup was outstanding. The sandwich was a combination of grilled onions with shitaki mushrooms and I replaced the Swiss with a Gruyere cheese and it was drizzled with a balsamic glaze. Everything was so good I had to come back again to try the mac n cheese with bacon grilled cheese and can't forget the tomato basil soup. Brought Freddy with me and he also loves the food. Will come back again with more people.

Was there Saturday. Had the Cowgirl special and sea salt fries. I thought the sandwich was great. Bread didn't fall apart and the macaroni n cheese with the crispy chicken was to die for. Exactly what I had been hoping for. Fries were good too, and my only complaint was that several were undercooked. My other half had a salad that also had crispy chicken in it, that I forgot the name of.... Second time at GCG and it was awesome both times. Had the queen brie and the country girl... fabulous!!!! A must try.
AMAZING.... Never thought I'd love a "country boy" ...tomato bisque...heavenly. Exceptional staff and great music!!!
