I used to frequent the turtle often ... Went to lunch today there for the first time in a long time with my family and two children. Everyone got their food except me. Finally ten minutes later we see the waitress and ask where my food was. She comes back and tells me it was never put in. By the time I got my food (in a to go box) my entire family was finished and my one year old son was ready to go. So thank you to our waitress for ruining my first meal out in a very long time. The staff of The Green Turtle in La Plata are fantastic. They were wonderful & accommodating for two nights in a row as a last minute solution to feeding & gathering my very large family after a memorial at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home. Also of note: This occurred during a busy weekend during March Madness & Easter break. And our family gathering on one night was 30 people, of all ages. Thank you again to the fantastic staff! Especially, James & Tona (Antonia)!
I had a great time last night. Definitely have to come back on a Wednesday night
Our server was the best thing. Food was terrible, I could've gotten a better burger at McDonald's. My girlfriend got food poisoning from the fish and chips, threw up all night. The sodas were also flat. Won't be going there again.

The live music is great here. A great place to have dinner or a snack and watch the game.
The drinks were terrible. I sent one back because it was so bad. Our waitress brought another drink it was not very good either. It wasn't until.the next day I saw I had paid for the one I sent back and the replacement. The waitress was friendly but not very bright. Our food came out rather quickly considering our large group. The food was very good. The building was clean and in good repair.
