Slate Rock and Screened Topsoil Purchases On October 5 and 9 I purchased topsoil using the trailer provided. Service at the yard was excellent and the trailer was easy to use. However as I have put down and watered the the topsoil I witnessed the inability of the topsoil to absorb water. Upon investigation and tests the topsoil had/has 30%+ pulverized clay.
