Great place. We have been going to The Golden Door for 19 years. Can't wait to go back.
Nice little place to stay quiet friendly close to beach payed for 1night and went back and payed for another day because we liked it
My wife and I like the "old school " motels and this one is great. The owners are friendly, the rooms a clean and we love the nostalgic feel.
I have been staying at the golden door for 5 years. Clean rooms, very friendly and helpful ownera.
What a great place. If there is any suggestion it may be to get a microwave and fridge for rooms but that takes nothing away from the fact they were great for the price I paid clean and I would recommend to anyone.
We stayed here over the Fourth of July weekend. We have no complaints. Could the rooms use a little updating, sure but the service and atmosphere make up for it. The owners were super nice and helpful with places to eat and things to do. We loved walking out the sliding glass door to the swimming pool and park like yard. The kids enjoyed the pool, swings, teeter-toters and ping pong table. They also have grills available to grill your own food. The kids can't wait to go back to the lake to stay here.
