Updated review: We’ve had a great experience at The Goddard School. The teachers are caring, attentive, and truly invested in the children’s learning and growth. The environment is warm, and welcoming. The front office staff (Ms. Channell and Ms. Jhane) deserves a special mention they are always so kind, friendly, and helpful, and make every interaction pleasant. The Goddard at The Wharf has allowed my daughter to thrive and grow in such a way that we never imagined. She is ahead of the game in many areas of her milestones, in comparison to many other children in our social circle her age, who are home cared or in traditional daycare settings. Her vocabulary and articulation has sky rocketed and her social skills and confidence are what make her the life of any room she walks in. Our family had a wonderful experience at the Goddard School in DC (Wharf) when our son attended as a toddler. From the very beginning, the environment felt warm, supportive, and genuinely focused on the well-being and development of the children. A big part of that experience was the leadership. Taylor (the owner) and Ms. Nita (the Director) created a culture that felt both nurturing and highly professional. Ms. Nita, in particular, stood out for how incredibly hands-on she was. My son has been attending Goddard (7th st) since Sept 2025. As an educator myself, I have high standards for childcare, and Goddard has exceeded each one. Nita and Denisha have championed a program focused on celebration of each child, child-centered activities that foster all areas of development, and above all, professionalism.
