We’ve had an incredible experience with The Goddard School over the past few years! Both of our children have attended — our oldest started at age 3 and recently graduated, and our youngest has been thriving there since age 1. The teachers and staff at Goddard Stony Brook are amazing! My family had to find a quick solution to an unexpected situation and the administrative staff (Ms. Amanda and Mr. Nirav) were kind, supportive and found a spot for my child to start immediately. Even as my child had difficulties with the transition, the staff were understanding. My child learned SO much in the short time he was there and if I knew the quality of learning he would get, I would have started him there when he was a baby. Putting my son in this program was one of the best decisions I ever made. He has learned so much in the past year from potty training to knowing his colors and alphabets. Every day he would come home excited about what he learned. The staff has truly been great and welcoming since day 1! They are always going the extra mile to make my son feel welcomed and making it a home away from home. Update Aug 25: as my daughter gets ready to go to the district I am still so happy to have chosen Goddard, my daughter is thriving and looks forward to going to school to see her teachers and friends. They made the summer so enjoyable for the kids with so many activities and make sure they are still learning through play. The facilities are always extremely clean and the staff and owner also have a welcoming and friendly attitude, will be back next year with my youngest:) I am so happy we decided to enroll our daughter here.... read more
I started bringing my daughter here when she was 2.5 years old and she has had a wonderful time since day one. The teachers are all wonderful, the kids love them! My daughter loves the director there, Amanda, who is so amazing with the kids. Over all, the school is very clean and the building is secure, which is one thing that I was worried about when I was looking for a place to send my daughter.
