My son began school at 4 years old with Goddard off Byron Center. His first classroom was pre-school where he had 20 classmates. They use a conscious discipline model which we were very happy to learn about. There were activities used to help our child and us thrive thru the transitions to school mode. In Pre-K they followed a curriculum and school environment while also allowing room for plenty of play and nap time. Goddard staff was professional, knowledgeable, patient and welcoming. We had a wonderful experience. Our son was excited to go to school everyday and was well cared for. When behavior challenges came up, the staff worked with us and our son was able to learn and grow past them. As an educator myself, I saw the value and excellence in the curriculum. My son loved inquiry based learning and always amazed me with what he came home talking about! We are grateful for our time at Goddard.

As a parent with two children (22 mo and 4 yrs old) currently attending the Goddard School, I recommend this school wholeheartedly for early childhood care and development. Our oldest has been attending since he was 3 months old and our experience has been nothing short of amazing. He has developed such meaningful relationships with the teachers and other students. The Goddard School is a home away from home for our boys. I am so thankful for their attention to detail in every matter of child development and not to mention the extra effort they put in making memorable childhood experiences.
