Best Southern Food Around I’m addicted really. I go on their website just about every day to check out their daily menu; it pretty much determines what the rest of my day is going to be like!

Love It!! Absolutely the best place in town to get authentic yet original Lowcountry fare. Very reasonable considering the high quality of the ingredients: farm-fresh eggs; local, seasonal veggies; all-natural beef and poultry--plus all bottles on their green wine list are half-priced on Mondays and with every to-go order! You can go on http://www.ilovetheglassonion.com/dailymenu to preview their fresh and seasonal daily menu.

4 solid Stars! CJ and the staff are friendly, welcoming, and provide Top Notch service with out rushing you or bugging you. A perfect touch! Clean and tidy, interior is a little post modern and unpretentious cross between a 1950’s Diner and today’s average fast food joint walled with interesting and eclectic local art. But don’t let that fool you. The kitchen is obviously the heart, soul and focus here. The menu is updated twice daily for lunch and supper. Ingredients and dishes are selected based on locally sourced fresh in... read more

Seasonal local food promises. Want a chicken dinner then make a prepaid reservation by Monday at 100…to give them time to marinate, specially prepare just for you. After all this you have high expectations, right? Well, what you get is tough, overcooked, dried out chicken and as a final kiss off it is overpriced. I am at a total loss to understand the false hype about their chicken.:(

Mouthwatering, Funky, Urban Lowcountry awesomeness – I cannot get enough of The Glass Onion! It's a very unique and pleasurable respite from the typical eateries that populate the West Ashley area. No, it's not the cheapest place to grab a quick meal. But its ever-changing menu always features unique and seasonable fare that is rarely found almost anywhere in the area. The parking lot is not nearly large enough, so don't be surprised if you have circle the place a couple of times. On the busy Savannah Highway (17), this is s... read more

High Quality, Seasonal Ingredients in a Casual, Cozy Setting – This hidden gem is one of the best restaurants in Charleston! The big-as-your-head Po'Boys come on authentic Leidenheimer French bread, and are virtually overflowing with goodness! You can choose from such fare as fried Carolina shrimp, mustard-fried catfish, all-natural chicken salad, or if in season, eggplant parmesan with fresh-made mozzarella. Also, this is one of the few places worthy enough to feature the wonderful beers from the small, local craft brewery,... read more
