Fullbrook is a really special place with people who genuinely care about the women and families they work with. The staff are compassionate, supportive, and clearly take the time to get to know each person rather than treating everyone the same. Addiction is incredibly hard on both the person struggling and the people who love them, and I really appreciate the way Fullbrook recognizes that. Not suitable for neurodivergent people. Certain people will do their best to contribute to your wellbeing, but the landscape isn’t conducive toward healing for a great many people who suffer from addiction who are also neurodivergent - knowingly or unknowingly. I cannot begin to describe how flagrantly misused their therapies are. They are weakly and irresponsibly administered. I agree with everything Kimberly Miller said in her review !!! Horrible rehab to put your child/ loved one in. They tell you what you want to hear and the minute they have your loved one they cut you off . I was given a full release of information as well by my loved one and they refused to let her contact me, call me or have any communication with me.. Immediately upon arrival, the 87 year old doctor changed the dosage on my antidepressants. Some of the rules they enforce were: only one 5 min phone call a week with an employee present, no leaving the dining area until 30min had passed since sitting down to eat, every meeting was mandatory, no nicotine before breakfast, no bathroom until 30min after each meal, doors to bedrooms locked during the day (forget something & you have to track down an employee who begrudgingly unlocks the door & reprimands you), no coffee after 12... read more
I shall admit I am too upset to write a book-long review in an appropriate manner. I have, however read the reviews posted and, to say politely, I agree with every low-rating. I have been to rehab only once (Fullbrook) and have been clean ever since with EXTREME willpower and devotion. The last 2.5yrs have been Hell on our planet since exiting The Fullbrook Center. But!
