We must have it on an off Saturday lunch. Back dining area with lovely fireplace required us and others to keep our costs on. Simple orders,,,the coffee was lukewarm and second cup though asked for, never arrived Caesar side ordered but it came followed by fried which were not requested. And some chopped iceberg with a light drizzle , and I mean light drizzle of Caesar dressing and a few storebought croutons does not a Caesar make!!! Very disappointed. Will not make the hour long ride.

The last two times I went to pick up my order, I had to wait several minutes for someone to help me (and there weren't any customers that I could see). The food (unfortunately) was mediocre and not worth the cost.
The food is great. We have been there several times and it is one of our favorite places. it has a great atmosphere and the service is great. We always recommend it to. people as one our favorite places to go and they have all came back and said really liked it and was glad that they went there. It has that feeling, you're at home there.

Great Food and Drinks and the Atmosphere is delightful.
My son (7) and I went today for brunch! The food was amazing and the staff was so nice. My son loves history so to eat in a home built in 1850 was just so awesome to him! We will definitely go again!
The food is always excellent and the service amazing. The staff is friendly and the ambiance is also soothing. My two favorite dishes are The fried green tomatoes and The Shrimp & Grits but new entrees are added regularly.
While I do recommend eating here, tonight was a bad experience. The service was great, the food was not . don't know if there is a new cook or something. After waiting 45 minutes for our food, it was not busy, my shrimp and grits were cold and had no flavor. My wife got the chicken and waffles and the waffle wasn't crisp and was cold. We have had both dishes in the past and have enjoyed them, hopefully this was a hiccup.
Our small group enjoyed a lovely tea service this afternoon. Jeff and his staff served a nice selection of finger sandwiches, cheeses, fruits, scones, and assorted pastries, even providing some gluten free options. The tea service was priced very reasonably, as well. We will be back.
