Such a pleasure to shop- quiet and calm lighting, relaxing background music. Great selection of veggies, seafood, coffee and wines.

I ordered a red velvet cake for my spouse's birthday. His name is Jack. I even spelled it out for the bakery worker on the phone when I placed the order. However, when I picked up the cake, it said "Happy Birthday Jake". Really, Fresh Market? $20 for a small round layer cake and you can't even take care to spell the name correctly? The decorator apologized, but I had to wait several minutes for her to correct the error.

Had a pannini, some fresh fruit and got some Hint H2O. I love Fresh Market, and PS their roses are amazing and last a long time.
I loved this store , I stop in every time I am in Gainesville for Dr appts. I purchased 2 kinds of Coffee and of course a fresh baked Cinnamon Roll to eat on the way home to Live Oak. Enjoyed the complimentary coffee while there also.
Yes, they are more pricey. Worth it for some things; like their sushi which is much tastier than Publix. My son loves their Vermont mac and cheese and ready to eat potato soap. For a place called "Fresh" Market there is an over abundance of unhealthy items; alcohol, candy, baked goods, and sugar and MSG in many of their prepared items.(LOL)
Rather pricey, but the food is so good it's worth an occasional splurge. Employees are all friendly, helpful, and far more polite than I could ever be to some of the most annoying customers on the planet.
It was busy... couldn't get waited on In the deli... other than that it was good!!
