We asked our Lyft driver for a great local hangout. He brought us to the Flying Harpoon. It was amazing and BR made us feel like we’d known him for years.

Tiny place. Mostly locals. Outside could be nice for listening to band. Grass needed cut, more shade cover needed for very hot days. No bathroom or bar service outside. Service was almost non existent on Sunday evening. Advertisement for this place needs to change to reflect the true nature of the bar. I saw many families come in and leave. Not a good place for kids.

So sorry we disappointed you..we don’t advertise at all because we are a local dive bar but our reviews on trip advisor should tell people all they need to know. Thank you for your input on service for Sunday night, there should be outside service available unless our bar tenders are getting killed behind the bar and can’t leave their station. We’re not for everyone, especially for people with children in tow.
The fried shrimp and oyster basket was delicious. Our waitress was attentive and welcoming. Very laid back and relaxing place
Amazing food, amazing drinks, and our server, Nicole was amazing! Could not get enough of the oyster fritters. Also, my brother ordered a Four Horseman shot and The Poon delivered! Absolutely love this place and will be coming back.

RecommendedCrab and crawfish cakes are the best ever. Homemade potato chips, yummmm
Food is really good! Service is excellent!!! These guys definitely win for best Bushwacker on Gulf Shores!
