If you have floaters, I 100% say you should consult with Dr. Johnson. I had a consultation, an exam and treatments with him and it was worth the flight to Texas. Thanks for you help!

My experience with Dr. Johnson was as good as anyone could expect. This is mainly because of the particular condition that I had (a PVD four months prior), my age (over 60), and the fact that my eyes had not had any other work done on them before (such as cataract lens replacement). Great at his job and personable, between his manner and his videos he builds trust from the start. Very happy with the results and will be visiting again despite the 7000miles plus to travel. Highly recommend I've decided to add to this review after reading another poster. I think to avoid disappointment each individual must have realistic expectations, you are not going to turn up have a 30min session and see like a 16yr old youth again. As for it becoming worse... I saw Dr. Johnson last week for one YAG laser treatment of a diffuse, cloud-like "amoeba" floater, and a small Weiss ring (both resulted from a PVD in December 2024.) The small Weiss ring was eliminated during the one treatment. Unfortunately, more than 95% of my issue is the "amoeba" cloud floater, and the YAG laser treatment had limited to no effectiveness for this type of floater in my case. I first get in touch with Dr. Johnson 1.5 years ago and found 0.05% eye drops most comfortable among those he prescribed. I left a review, which you can find here too.
