Steak salad and rice pudding here are pretty good - would recommend both. This diner is a little pricey but it’s because of the location. However, they do have A LOT of options on the menu in a wide price range. Very clean and traditional diner aesthetic. Overall, if you are looking for a diner option in this area, I’d go.
they never let your coffee get cold, everything was delicious, and their service is just phenomenal

I always stay in a nearby UWS hotel when I come to the City and always pop into the Flame for breakfast. Consistently excellent breakfast food and attentive, friendly service and management.
