Went on an Oct Sunday afternoon. Had attentive service and thoroughly enjoyed the Fishwhistle salad with Curried Chicken. Mom had the Brie appetizer with was Devine with the fig spread, yum! Beautiful view!
Clearly understaffed with inexperienced people for an annual event. We waited a long time to even see a wait person...the table next to us had been waiting an hour for entree after their salad. They complained to manager and had their entire check comped. We finally got one of our ordered items and reminded the person we had ordered two small plates. 30 min later both of the items arrived (duplicating the first item) we were begged to please just take it and then we were charged for it. I had some real good juicy fried oysters yesterday. Also the MD crab veg soup was very good, spicy with a little lump crab and mostly back fin which is good for soup. Potato salad and coke slaw was good. Not large l, but quote adequate craft beer selection.
Food was ok...service was disappointing. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait for a table. After 45 minutes my husband got up from the bar to see about our table. He was told it would be another 30 mins. We would have never waited that long for a table. We decided to eat at the bar. Service at the bar was better, yet after they took our order, the waiter said they no longer had the rockfish that my husband ordered. Just one disappointment after another. Sincerely regret your negative visit to the FW. Downrigging is an extremely busy weekend. Food was served outside in the tent as well as in the restaurant & bar, however it was difficult to keep up with the crowd. We will certainly try to impove our service. Our customers are very important to us.
Eventually we were put on a wait list and told 45mins to 1 hr. 1 1/2hrs later after going to counter several times we were seated outside and told 'I will be back with menus'. 10 mins later after being ignored by several waitresses who came out, my husband went to find the manager. She took our orders, I was passed hungry by then, my husband ordered bowl of soup and I had the mac and cheese. I went to bathroom and when I came back my husband had his soup no sign of my dinner. got in the restaurant oct 29 '16 at 4:10 and for 20 minutes no one acknowledged my friend and i were there. no water, no "I'll be with you" NOTHING though people coming in after us were seated and served water. went up to tell the hostess/wait staff person and was asked "would i like service?" told them "no we're walking" and left. poor service rude staff. guess cause we weren't one of the "regulars". won't go back won't recommend the place. no need to call the manager. read one of the reviews from other who was treated the ... read more
