As a buyer AVOID - time wasters with huge opportunity cost. Poor communication and lack exclusivity.
I would not recommend this company. I worked with them on an off for six months from the buy side. Communication was unprofessional and it became clear that their description and status of the business was false and inaccurate. See other comment responses by The Firm for second opinion.
Fake listings - typical bait-and-swtich. Don't waste your time with them.
I buy businesses for a living and I constantly shop for the next acquisition. Twice I have come to the Firm Advisors and twice they have refused to even communicate about companies I’ve inquired about. The first was an installation company in Richmond that I would have put an offer on almost immediately. They stalled and blew off responses for about six weeks until it was under LOI with someone else and for that company I was prepared to come in above asking and I communicated that. Cortney Sells (Owner) and "The Firm" engaged in a pattern of dishonest and unprofessional behaviour during the 4 months I have had the displeasure of engaging them. They violated the exclusivity clause in the LOI, actively solicited buyers during the exclusivity period (even after funding had been secured) and disregarded my express request not to meet with my lender without my presence.
