brick oven pizza? they way they prepare their pizza is a bit different from regular restaurants, but whatever they do only makes it that much better. the service is not the fastest but i do love the food here
Yummy We have been dedicated patrons of The Fireplace for 20+ years, and have enjoyed everything from breakfast, highlighted by the freshly squeezed orange juice, to lunch including char-grilled burgers and chicken, and an occasional Pizza to go. Food is consistent, reasonable, and although the burgers are a little on the 'light' side relating to overall mass, the meat quality and grilling offset the deviation for normal American overindulgance.
Chicken Fireplace Restaurant Step up to the counter and order. Great grilled cheese, burgers and hot dogs. Rustic decor gives this self serve restaurant a comfy feeling. Kid friendly and lots of seats. Usually a wait for food but worth it.
VERY casual, great food all day. Excellent burgers for the price. BUT it's the old world Bergen County atmosphere that is it's strength. When I was a kid in the 50's we used to go up to the 'country' to visit relatives, and a stop at the Fireplace was always a treat. By the way, you simply can't find better onion rings, french fries, or chicken. Breakfast is good too, but their pancakes are no longer the best, since they changed their recipe back in the early 1990's. (Eat your hearts out McD's and KFC!)

Good at what it does I went here fairly often during middle school with my family. Their breakfast selection is pretty typical diner style food, and the same can be said for their lunch menu. If memory serves me correctly, their prices are on the low side, so that's a plus. I really liked the atmosphere, which was pretty cozy with its wooden interior. This is a good place for a casual meal.

great burgers The Fireplace has been grilling hamburgers since the 1950's. They have expanded their menus in recent years to include chicken and pizza. But their hamburgers and fries are still our favorite. They have the best pickles at their fixings bar. Another excellent choice is their steak sandwich which is served on delicious bread with a hint of garlic.
Timeless place for great burgers! The Fireplace upholds a tradition of burgers and fries dating back the 1950s style burger joint. While still employing mostly high school students, the Fireplace serves up great burgers and fries at very reasonable prices. Try the milkshakes, too! They are great! ...and don't forget their wonderful onion rings.
