Just got done having brunch with my friend, and we are TOTALLY coming back. From the minute we walked in and were seated, to checking out up front, we were met with smiles and kindness. All of the staff was informative, welcoming, and made our brunch extremely enjoyable. I’ll be telling everyone I know about this heavenly goodness. The food is amazing! The coffee is divine! We enjoy it so much that when it came time for the rehearsal dinners for our sons’ weddings, Robyn was our go to caterer. Notice that was plural. Two sons so far! Both times every single thing was fantastic! The food was all people could talk about!
Hidden gems? This one is the biggest, shiniest, possibly most hidden gem around. The Fig Tree is its own bakery, they serve locally-sourced coffee and milk, and their core cuisine is Mediterranean. The Mediterranean Morning breakfast - consisting of eggs, humous, and skillet potatoes with a fantastic spice blend on top - is one of my favorite breakfasts in the KC area. I love this place, great people and great food with a colourful and friendly atmosphere.
I am so thankful we found this joint. I wish I could give 10 stars. By far the best breakfast I have ever had and our waitress just topped off our experience.
Please note, although it says open until 3pm, we were turned away at 2:35pm.
Always good food and friendly service. Taken several friends there and recommended it to others.
