We stayed one night, room was small, but very nice. Place is quiet, but when we went to the bar/restaurant we were greeted with “do you have a reservation (we were only there for drinks). They did let us in (they weren’t busy at all). One downfall is, they ask you to pay for the complimentary breakfast $7 per person and you had to reserve it the night before, which I thought was bizarre, so we went out and grabbed Dunkin, but would have been nicer if complimentary breakfast was included In The very expensive room price of $2... read more

Lovely hotel, superb service! Mackenzie and Dave were awesome!! It was my friend’s bday, and they were creative and helpful w the requests I made. They are a lot of fun too! The attention to detail went above & beyond. From leaving us welcome snacks, turning down the couch into a bed (we had the Captain’s suite) to leaving coffee and tea in the AM, it was very much noticed appreciated!!! I stayed all week on the coast of Maine from Portland all the way up to Belfast. The accommodation highlight of the entire trip was The Federal. Specifically, I would like to call out the excellence of all the people that work at the front desk, the greetings are sincere and they go above and beyond. Especially on my check-in, Sabrina was amazing, she offered all kinds of great information about the area on restaurants and let me know the differences between all the other little towns I was going to visit up the coast.
