Terrible customer service! They tell you one amount that you will need to bring to close then once they get your money they give you a different amount that is over $2,000.00 more to bring to close. When you bring it to their attention they offer to change the interest rate to a higher amount that will only cost you an additional $8,000.00 over the 30 year loan. When you say "No Thank You!" Then they offer to change the cost the of house and then you will only have to pay an additional $4,000.00 over the 30 year loan. Again ... read more

If you are looking for a builder that forces contractually obligated cost increases back on the buyer then Ashton Woods is the builder for you! They think they may have a problem providing a built-in microwave/oven combo so they just aren't providing it. They said the contract says they can remove any option. The option is for an upgraded cabinet with a built-in but they are only removing the appliance. So everyone that ordered that gets a hole in the wall with a live 240v outlet.
