I was referred by my dermatologist and told Jessica Cook was accepting new patients, their website lists that as well. When I called for any appointment you have to give a full list of medication you take. Then it’s sent to the doctor and they call you back the next day to tell you if they accept you as a patient. Dr. Mercer…do not recommend! I came to her stressed, crying, hair falling out looking for help and guidance for my mental health. She referred me to somebody for testing that doesn’t even except my insurance. Then I was told by her nurse that I needed to find someone who accepts my insurance. She never prescribed anything for relief and offered no recommendations. I gave her medical documentations to fill out for my job to receive some accommodations at work, she wouldn’t even fill it out, causing me to lose my job. I guess ... read more
One of the best family practices in shreveport, I'm a over the road driver and they worked with me and my time for over 20 years.
I like my doctor there but this new $100 office visit fee that's supposedly to "help pay down my deductible" is ridiculous. My deductible is my problem, not this clinics. My BCBS card says office visits are $30, not $100. This is just a money grab and I will be contacting BCBS. And looking for a new clinic. After a call from this clinic, it was revealed that the email that was sent was a blanket email and did not apply to all patients. It was a little misleading. Thank you for the clarification.
