Get a new group of so called "patient relations" representatives. Nothing but a group of bullies who call you by phone to reprimand and accuse while advocating not for the patient but for rude, inept, inefficient, unprofessional office staff. These "advocates" browbeat a mistreated patient (me) looking for healthcare while dealing with residual issues from this pandemic. Utterly despicable human beings who only care about the "business" side of medicine and not a patient's true health issues or concerns.

1- there is ALWAYS a long wait for your SCHEDULED appointment 2- they have you come back repeatedly for ridiculous reasons just to get extra money through copays and the insurance companies 3- they repeatedly say “oh, you didn’t make your copay on such and such a day”. So once the receipt is shown, it’s either they’re shady or their billing dept is terrible. Will he taking my family and leaving them.

Dr. Barnum has got to be the worst GP my family has ever had the misfortune to meet. This doctor has outright refused to prescribe my mother’s thyroid cancer medication that she needs to stay alive. To live! But its because my mother can’t come in for an in-person visit, that Dr. Barnum is demanding, due to my family members living with my mother being very high risk. This doctor seemingly has no conscience and I recommend to everyone to never see this doctor. Thank God we were able to switch so my mother can stay alive.

Business response:

We’re sorry to hear about your concern. A one-on-one conversation with our Patient Relations team could better help you sort this out! Their number is 908-977-9499, and their email is wecare@smgnj.com.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. We have NEVER been so disappointed in our lives with a doctors office. My husband went to see dr. Scott tinter for the first time for physical. We saw reviews, he needed a new doctor so why not. He was seen right away and everything. No complains about the doctor at all. My husband also got a swab done in the mouth along with blood work. Because he has been having Oral thrush for what we assume but don’t know which is why the doctor had done a swab and said in a few days we will find out what the... read more
