The eye care center in Geneva, NY refused to give me an appointment because they did not take my insurance. I have Medicare and very good supplemental insurance provided by my late husband's employment at Raytheon. I had cataracts removed in both eyes followed by laser surgery in both eyes years ago. I recently moved to Geneva and am experiencing blurry vision in one eye. I was not refused by a doctor. I was refused by the receptionist who hung up on me. Is this even possible?

Wish my deductible was lower so I can go here more lol truly a great establishment with professionals that supersede the name on the board. My Dr. Dugo and her team are phenomenal. From the lady and the gent at the front desk, to the curb appeal to the lobby and waiting area, all clean and supreme. Thank you for providing great service, looking forward to my next appt in March 2026
The Eye Care center is very proactive in ensuring the health and safety of our eyes. Before I knew what a retinal tear was, after I called in with a couple of symptoms, I was seen within hours, diagnosed and treated immediately. Every single facet of this center is totally professional and extremely competent. I highly recommend the center.
Doctors sometimes have a hard time hearing their patients if you know what i mean but they overall will get to the root of the issue and help in any way. Very matter of fact doctors. The one receptionist they had was amazing but the new girl doesnt seem to understand hippa or confidentiallity as the whole waiting room heard every detail of our check in process she was so loud. Like that the doctors are smart but please bring the other gentleman back pay him more or something.
