After putting off an eye exam for far too long, I finally scheduled an appointment on my sister's recommendation. Dr. Edwards confirmed that I had cataracts and referred me to Dr. Owens for surgery. My sister had a great experience with him, and now I can see why. I've since had both eyes done, and just three weeks out, I am amazed at the difference. I am afraid they will retaliate against me further. I feel helpless and frustrated with the lack of compassion and respect shown towards me by the billing department at this eye and laser center. I urge others to be cautious when dealing with this center and to do thorough research before choosing to receive treatment there. My health and well-being should be the priority, not their financial interests. I hope that by sharing my experience, others will be able to avoid the mistreatment that I have endured.
The Eye and Laser Center is top notch for all you eye needs. When you have an appointment to see them be ready and on time because they're usually ready for you when you arrive. It amazes me when I go back for my visit at the attendants waiting in the hallway for the next patient call. My most recent visit was awesome as usual. This is more of a business than a medical provider. They will bill for tests that they do not disclose to the patient. They diagnosed me with cataracts and dry eye, gave me a dry eye test (on their new machine) that cost $80, never disclosed it with me up front and the doctor never discussed dry eyes with me at the exam. Nor did he mention the cataracts that I apparently have. Dr. Edwards is a wonderful doctor. Very impressed with his professionalism and how through he was with the eye exam. If you need quality care this is the place to go. I recommend Dr. Edwards. He will do a through exam and will answer all questions or concerns you may have. I was very pleased with the service I received. Customers care working in the front were also very friendly and professional. They made me feel very comfortable when I entered the office.
