I've used the Expansive Group for individual and couples counseling over the last 2 years. It brings together really thoughtful clinicians skilled in a range of different techniques. They are smart, sensitive to a range of identity and trauma questions, and truly unique in this space. Days ago I requested to book an appointment for an intake to speak to someone. Never heard back after the website said someone would contact me in one to two days. Meanwhile, I quickly booked an appointment with a Christian therapist. highly disappointed that a Christian therapist got back to me quicker than a therapist group that specializes in queer patients. As a queer person, it’s quite sad I’m being ignored but got something much faster with a group that supposedly “hate” my kind
Best therapy I’ve ever gotten. The inclusive ethos of the practice can be felt throughout the counselor matching experience and welcoming atmosphere. I was fortunate to have BCBS for insurance, and I went through the thorough intake process to get matched to a therapist with my needs. Within 2 weeks I was matched to a great therapist and the administrative/insurance process has been very minimal since.
Our couple's therapist is very culturally competent and helps us through our different racial and ethnic experiences.
