I went for an imaging appointment this morning and while the tech was fantastic (this is my second time here, the last tech March 2024 was great too!) and the facility was clean - the receptionist, Melanie, was rude. Her direct and abrupt approach with me was whatever, I wouldn't of said anything but hearing her encounter with another patient who was 10 min past his appointment was very disheartening. Our experience at Optum Care in Smokey Point, WA was a mix of good medical care and horrendous billing practices. We were visiting family in WA from FL when our daughter developed an ear infection. Since they don’t accept FL Medicare, we agreed to pay out of pocket. The cost we were told was $273, which we paid in full at the time of the visit.
