I have filed a complaint with the NYS LTC Ombudsman regarding a family member's stay. After a fall in November and a week long hospital stay, she spent three months at the Enclave receiving the absolute minimum care for them to receive medicare payments, essentially just room and board instead of rehab. After three months she was unsafely discharged and fell again within six hours of her discharge. If you love your loved one DO NOT bring them here it took me a year to write this ..my poor dad was at montefiore for 2 weeks (he was doing great) then they sent him here because he became Oxygen dependent and they just wanted him to get stronger before he went home... I was there till 6pm with him and he was doing great ... well at 3:30 am he passed away 2 days after he arrived at this place ... yes exactly... guess what ran out !!!.... yup you got it his oxygen tank ( originally had him on a oxygenator but the machine kept... read more
I visited a friend and looked at many things that give sadness, and the treatment they give in this place to patients. They do not help them to eat the patients that I feel sad.
