WORST DONUT IN TOWN!!! I like to support local shops in the cities and usually don't write reviews online, but this was the WORST food experience I've ever had in Minneapolis. I've lived here for 7 years and in that time I have never been so grossed out and let down by the food as I was at the donut cooperative. First off the place is super cute, well decorated and adorable but sadly that did not make up for the taste of the baked goods. The donuts were awful! Charming, Friendly, Helpful and Delicious. OK, that last one was about the donuts themselves, rather than the gal behind the counter (at least, AFAIK). FRESH Strawberry Filled! I mean, not freshly made goo, but slices of fresh strawberry!! Basically a strawberry sandwich, with donut for bread. Simply awesome. Also very impressed with the restraint used in glazing. Too many donut shops seem to be competing for how thick they can coat the doggone things with glaze. Eww. For hand-made donuts, this place is *perfection*.
