the deli is part of what makes norman the deli hosts a lot of great local talent and has a nice local atmosphere. it is also a staple on my list of places to stop by and pop my head into on the rare occasion that I get out and about. if you don't love the deli, you don't love norman.
Decent bar They have some pretty decent live music. I haven't been when they aren't having live music, so I don't know how it is without, but the atmosphere is pretty cool when they do.
Live 365 The Deli is a great bar. It's the most unpretentious campus bar around. It's dark. Smoking is allowed. They've got live music 365 days a year, bands from all over. Go for the 24 oz "RED CUP" of Miller Light for about $3.50. Or have your choice from a full bar, cheap Jaeger shots, typical domestics plus local brews from Coach's and a few other choices like Sierra Nevada and Red Stripe. Cover charge is usually about $5, but then someone like Dirty Dozen Brass band could be $10-$20. Down to earth and they can sure rock... read more
