So here's the deal. My two stars were for food and drink, they were both fantastic. Great margaritas! But to be completely honest the service was extremely poor. We sat down without being acknowledged for several minutes while other tables who came in after us, were greeted and even ordered their dinners. Very nice coastal decor and some of the food coming out did look good. However service was horrible, both in getting acknowledged and seated (there were tables available), and then in getting our order placed. There appeared to be plenty staff and it was not crazy busy, so I'm not sure where the problem was. The table next to us walked out, also waiting for their order to be taken. We eventually walked out too. For the prices on the menu, I'd expect a high quality experience. This was definitely not that.
This place rocks! Rockfish that is! Oh, and the salads are delicious.
Stopped for a quick dinner before heading to Sourh Beach State Park. Lucky find in the spare of the moment. Clam strips were amazing and the fish and chips were the best I have had, well ever! The fresh Cod tasted like perch it was very good. Wanted to sample their desserts, but just couldn't do it. Next time for sure. The deep end cafe is our new favorite in Newport. Stop by and try this little gem.
