The Item has been part of my family’s routine for as long as I can remember. Local news that people care about. Real journalists and real journalism.
A while back when stuff was happening in Revere and the Journal was squashing it, the Item would tell the story. My only issue now is that nobody is questioning why that director of finance is not being held accountable for missing parking meter money. If you read about his office it states that he is responsible for the collection of all of the money in the city. What was this guy doing when the money was not being reported? MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY I GO TO THE SAME CONVENIENCE STORE IN AUSTIN SQUARE IN LYNN TO PICK UP THE LYNN ITEM LATELY THE PAST THREE OUT OF FIVE DAYS I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO GET THE PAPER IN THE MORNING BECAUSE THE WOMAN WHO DELIVERS THEM RUNS LATE I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY SHE CAN'T BE ON TIME WHEN EVERY OTHER NEWSPAPER CAN BE IN TIME, I'VE ACTUALLY WAITED 15 TO 20 MINUTES FOR HER AND SHE NEVER SHOWS UP TILL AFTER I'M GONE I HAVE TO BE AT WORK AND I LIKE TO READ THE LYNN ITEM BUT I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO BECAUSE SHE RUNS LATE...
