We had our wedding at the Crossing and it was absolutely perfect! The property is beautiful and provided a number of stunning backdrops for our various events and photos. The food was delicious. Everyone raved about it and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We had the resort to ourselves and everyone felt comfortable leaving their rooms unlocked. My wife and 6 year old recently stayed at the Crossing and it was an outstanding experience. The staff were exceptional—warm, welcoming, and attentive. The food was locally sourced and delicious, and had a variety of options that were even able to satisfy a very particular 6 year old palate ;) The hotel is perfect for both families and couples, offering something for everyone. Wonderful stay. My husband and I booked a last minute stay as a mini getaway and were very pleased that we did. The staff are all so friendly and incredibly attentive. The food was great and location on the river was perfect for relaxing outside between meals! We felt that the crossing staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and comfortable.
Reading the other reviews on this page leaves me confused as our experience as a couple was the complete opposite. We arrived to very friendly staff, but were then brought upstairs to a room which was very very tiny, and there was a door leading to the room adjacent to us, which they tried to hide with a dresser. You could literally hear whispers from the people on the other side of the wall, absolutely no privacy. We then asked to be moved to a different room which they accommodated. I visited this place in early/mid June, and the food was exceptional—hot, ready to eat, and crafted with intention and purpose. My recent visit was a nightmare. The food was DISGUSTING, clearly left out for hours, lacking any creativity, and as basic as truck stop buffet fare. I nearly vomited. I was eagerly anticipating another taste of what I once considered Michelin-star-worthy cuisine, only to be served a revolting pile of warm mush.
