I normally don’t post negative reviews, but I think this one is warranted. Last November, Lauren and I purchased a replacement hot tub cover from The Cover Guy. Less than a year later, the cover is essentially unusable. The foam cores have completely deteriorated and become waterlogged, making the cover extremely heavy and ineffective. I bought my hot tub cover from these guys and it is less than a year old and it’s tearing by the straps. They said are they are not supposed to have any kind of tension on them. My hot tub is in the ground and I’m sure my pool man just grabs the strap and pulls it open. I think that the straps should be connected to the hot tub in a fashion where they don’t tear like this. I would like to take the time today to thank one of your employees for providing exceptional service. His name is Raul. A few weeks ago, I ordered a spa cover from your company, which unfortunately arrived damaged. When I unpacked the cover, I discovered two holes that were clearly caused by the shipping company. Purchased my second cover from the Cover Guy less than 3 years ago. I noticed the stitching is coming a part and the gap between the two halves is widened so that the cover fits loosely and the gap is allowing heat to escape. Much of the skirt stitching is coming a part as well. After reading their warranty I felt confident I had a claim --- especially after owning tubs for the last 25 years always getting at least 5 years out of one. Buyer Beware! Cover looked ok when we got it , lasted less than 2 years , they do not honour their “3 year hassle free”!warranty ! Read the reviews on trust pilot as well , they now manufacture in Mexico and are no longer located in Canada, most reviews have the same complaint , their standard reply is that the problem is caused by chemicals I will never use this company again
