We were very excited to find a new place to eat in York while visiting family. The setting is charming. The bar is beautiful, and there's a cigar area. We've eaten there 3 times and enjoyed the outside covered area with heaters. The staff were very kind. The food was 50/50. Some things were delicious. But each time one person's meal was overly cooked or "old" tasting. The second visit was similar and I blew it off to being close to a holiday and maybe they were short-staffed. Spectacular old fashioned here! Food and service is great. I have been to alot of great places but this one I will definitely return to! Definitely not a disappointment. Atmosphere was very relaxed. Music just right, could have a conversation with my group but still enjoy the ambiance. We'll worth the price!
Came here for drinks and appetizers. The drinks were decent, but the appetizers were extremely disappointing. The place has a beautiful ambiance, which made the poor food quality even more frustrating. We ordered fries and Brussels sprouts—the fries were stale, and the Brussels sprouts were so burnt they were completely inedible.
