My girlfriend and I are moving out soon of our current apartment and toured this past weekend to 5 new different apartment locations, Courts of Devon being the last stop. We haven't even moved in as of yet, but I have a feeling we will have an amazing experience living here. This review is bitter sweet. We have lived at the Courts of Devon for just under 9 years. We would have lived here for another 9 years but sadly we had to leave. The negative first. The only negative thing I have to say about this property relates to the reason we had to move. Essentially price gouging at its finest. The practice Bozutto uses to determine rent increases explains the reason for the lawsuits the company is named in. Actually two law suites, one in DC and the second in Maryland. The service people are all very capeable and polite and do exceptional work.
As a former resident, I can confidently say this apartment complex is far from perfect. Its best attribute is its location given its proximity to the shops in Kentlands. My wife and I lived on the top floor of our building and still had ant infestations each Spring (we were extremely clean and there were no food sources such as dirty dishes around). I've been living here for several years. Great area, great maintenance team, and it was a reasonable apartment experience until my current upstairs neighbor. She is beyond excessively loud. I have had a few different tenants above me previously in the years I've lived here and have not experienced this before she moved in. The office has said that they've spoken to her, but she continued. The office's solution was then to suggest that I move. I've tried earplugs, a noise machine, etc., but nothing covers her noise because sh... read more
