Great Dive! – It is truly a dive. The food is great though. The burritos are all good and the salsa is very fresh. Request chips and salsa if it is for take out though, they are not an automatic. Great durham food. Summer is good for eating out on their patio.
Dinky atmosphere, great food – Good, cheap food... open late, so that you can chill when some other places are closed. Definitely a bargain for the buck!
Cheap? Bah Humbug! – I love the burritos at Cosmic Cantina, but I don't call $7 for a burrito and five tortilla chips served in a plastic basket cheap!!!. Granted, it's only $6 if you skip the sour cream & guac, but who wants to do that??? My idea of cheap is a burrito *with* rice & beans on the side served on a real plate by a real waiter for around $5 at ElRodeo, or a Fajita for under $3 at Armadillo Grill. Now that's Cheap!
simple and delicious – I usually hate this kind of place and I wanted to when my wife and I went....but instead I found the food fresh and really very tasty. No overcook dry beans - or ill prepared sauces. Just simple really good mexican food.

Cheap, healthy, and DELICIOUS!!! – Cosmic Cantina is as good as you can get as far as delicious, inexpensive, filling, and healthy Mexican food. As a college student, I gravitate to low-cost eateries and Cosmic Cantina offers a welcome alternative to cheap and greasy artery-clogging burger joints and pizza pubs. outstanding flavor, and urban charm – This is my all-time favorite place for burritos. The distinct combination of flavors in the $5 regular chicken version is superlative--yes, even for west coast standards. You just can't beat fresh, healthy ingredients (cilantro, lime, rice, beans, marinated chicken), authentic or not. Great summer hangout – Granted, you shouldn't come here expecting fabulous Mexican food. What you SHOULD expect is a nice, casual dining experience outside on the patio--when it comes to having a beer on Cosmic Cantina's deck, there simply isn't a better way to spend a summer evening.
