The surgeon Dr. Ionatti, is incredible. The Core Institute is inept and risks the lives of their patients. My doctor sent a referral to be processed 3 weeks ago because of breathing and speaking difficulties yet the referral that was requested has not even been submitted to my insurance. The ENT specialist are sanctimonious and refuse to even listen to other doctors. My PT doctor even said a referral was absolutely necessary.
My mom's knee swelled up right before Valentines day, and we were worried it would be hard to get appt. The Core Institute had a opening the next day and got her in right away. We checked in at the front desk and had to fill out paperwork. When her name was called to confirm all her paperwork, Roxy at the check in, was very thorough and answered all our questions. IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE A PIECE OF MEAT, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! I had my right knee replaced at CORE Institute in March of 2017. I met the surgeon the day of my procedure. He walked into my room and, without introducing himself asked, "Do you have any questions?" I had none because I had no idea who he was. The recovery was far worse than my recovery from having my left knee done. (to be fair I was a decade older--however, the difference was huge and my general health had not declined.) This place doesn't do their job and they don't call you back. It's like a DMV. The doctor came in and saw me for 5 minutes and left. I was drug tested and sent downstairs for xrays and mri which they only did xrays, and 2 months later they don't have any info. They continued my pain meds but the Norco doesn't work completely. I'm under a pain contract and they took me off my benzodiazepine for my nervous ticks and panic attacks knowing how deadly it is. I understood them taking my marijuana card, but I use that to sleep.
