I shop there all the time, practically furnished some rooms of my new house with items bought there. After many trips shopping the store, I have never had a single bad experience there. Everyone has been extremely courteous and the "right amount" of attentive. If the personnel were rude, inattentive, unreasonable, or whatever...I would have seen it by now. It's simply a great place with fine people working there.
POOR SERVICE- MISREPRESENT GOODS – I WILL NEVER EVER SHOP HERE AGAIN. I purchased a barcelona style day bed in June for almost $1400. I was told it was "real" leather by the person who works there. They also attached a Design Within Reach page showing the same daybed and wrote on this print out "compare to the "original Knoll version" The print out states that the material used is "Single Spinneybeck Volo cowhide" I purchased the day bed in good faith that it was as they stated "real leather" I recently scratched the daybed ... read more
Fast Sales – I listed my items for sale on craigslist and got a ton of wierdo's responding, and nobody showed up to see the stuff when they said they would. I decided to contact the consignment store in my neighborhood, but they had more small stuff, didn't really do furniture. They referred me to the consignment solution in lakewood. Attn. Furniture Junkies – So glad that I stumbled on to this little gem in Lakewood! It has now become my go to every week place...very addictive. Plenty of furniture and odds and ends, all nicely displayed, and the prices are unbelievable. (Looks like I might have been slow to figure it out, because there is always a crowd here.) It's got a cool funky feel, and everyone seems to be having fun. The sales people are easygoing and so are the shoppers! MODERN FURNITURE PRICED RIGHT – We are furnishing an office, and our style is very modern. We went to Design Within Reach, and asked if they could offer a discount since we are doing an entire office. Basically we were told that if you spend about $20K, then they could offer a 5% discount. A friend recommended we try consignment stores, so we found Consignment Solutions on Skillman in Lakewood. Small town friendliness with big business professionalism. – We just relocated to Dallas earlier this year, and had several large pieces that didn't fit in our "new" old house. My neighbor highly recommended the local consignment store, Consignment Solution on Skillman. I looked up their website which walked me through the process on how to sell, and after corresponding via email several times, I finally visited the store to deliver our furniture. Poor customer treatment and service – As both a customer and a consignor, I have been treated condescendingly and even rudely by the owner. I now take my consigned items to other consignment stores.
Fabulous consignment service/shop – I have sold/purchased many items at the Consignment Solution, and I am extremely impressed with their operation. I received more money back for my sold items than I had anticipated, so I was pleasantly suprised. Of course, I then ended up using some of that money to apply to another purchase from there. (They get in so many unusual pieces, I couldn't resist, it was like free money!) Horrible customer service-used to have nice furniture,but alot now is dirty – Custmer service is awful-I am a long term,HANDICAPPED customer,but have NEVER been treated like the owner treated me yesterday-the items they sell have gone way down-I have gotten rid of all but 1 table and 1 lamp.
