The Conservatory in Fitzroy Gardens is one of Melbourne’s best-kept (and free!) treasures. It’s always been a little haven for me — a place to slow down, breathe, and just marvel at how beautiful nature can be when it’s lovingly cared for. The floral displays change with the seasons, so there’s always something new to discover, and stepping inside feels like entering a calm, colourful world away from the city. Honestly, it’s like free therapy with flowers — without having to book an appointment.
Closed even though says open. No signs or anything, just a locked door.
The Conservatory building is located inside the Fitzroy Garden and it is free! I went there in September and the flowers were just gorgeous! There were various types of asters, cyclamens etc inside and everywhere is a visual treat-flower lover or not! The garden itself is beautiful and absolutely worthwhile to visit.
