Well kept historic hotel. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Customer service from check-in to valet was top notch! My family are were in Richmond from Chicago- thank you!

We had a nice room with a living area and a separate bedroom. But the owners have made cheap decisions on making it nice. The shower is terrible. No water pressure, it takes so long to get hot water and then it is impossible to balance into a normal temperature. The windows in the rooms are disgusting with mold and cob webs. They took the cheap way out of placing a new “windows” over the crappy moldy old windows thinking it would cover it up. Cheap and gross. The cheap vinyl floors are buckling and coming up. I called to ask to extend my stay by one night. Told everything was OK. Checked in and told we were staying an extra night and told everything was OK. Went to front desk this morning was told everything was OK. Then about noon I get banging on my door. A guy telling me its time to check out. I told him I was staying another night. I call and told to come down. I was put on the spot and made to feel like I was doing something dishonest. They wanted me to call my wife. This place was nice. Rooms are okay but a little dated. Air conditioner was in wall right next to the bed. Not ideal. Service was good. I would recommend this place.
