Coming from someone who has had a lot of interactions with lawyers over the past years, if you are looking to have a lawyer who will have your best interest at heart and not just after your money, hire Collaborative Law Group!! He is patient, VERY knowledgeable, good at his job, but most importantly, he will care.
My daughter and I had an excellent experience working with Mr. Knuts on a school loan case. He was incredible nice, helpful, and supportive during a very difficult time. when we needed someone to stand with us in court, he was there and made us feel confident and protected. our court date was right before Thanksgiving-November 26, 2025, at 9:00AM, and he truly became one of our reasons to give thanks to God that year. I had a consultation with Mr. Knust this week. He was great. Mr. Knust is very knowledgeable. He listened to my concerns and offered options on how I could proceed. Mr. Knust was kind and I felt that he was interested in my concerns. I had a very pleasant experience. If I am unable to resolve my concerns at the lower level, I will definitely use his services. I cannot speak to the firm's skills or ability, but I will say I find it exceedingly unprofessional to apparently refuse to call me despite the fact that I left 4 messages. Also they agreed to review audio documentation for me but they never called me back and now appear to be ignoring my messages.
I hired Jac Knust to represent me in a divorce and a domestic violence case. He advertised that his office is in Columbia, but I think that is only to have it look good. All of my meetings were in a dilapidated room attached to his old house. There was a cat there at least three times trying to jump on my lap and interrupting us. When I mailed a check to his Columbia office, they didn’t even know that it was there. They said they don’t get mail at that address.
