There is no logical reason to remove a proof coin from its capsule for a simple appraisal. Use a loupe or a sigma tester or something. Then they follow it up with a shrug in regards to the capsule and a lowball offer. It was amateur hour with the portly fellow with the crappy hand tattoo. Perhaps others there are competent but I recommend going elsewhere.
Sloppy service, chubby dude with a sketchy hand tattoo broke a capsule that was holding a proof coin I was having valued. Now that capsule won't close. I love it when people break stuff and don't say sorry. Avoid.
I do all my scrap melt here. Best prices in town. On site xray and melt to ingot shop. Good coins slabbed and raw. Need rare stuff they have it or can get it. Will negotiate on prices a little
A simple hello or other form of acknowledgement beyond buzzing me into the building would have saved a customer. Looked around the shop for 10+ minutes, focused a lot on one display case which is clear body language that you are interested in something in the case, and nothing. Not a hello. Not a how are you? Not a can I help you with something? Nothing. Customer lost.
Great place to sell, buy and trade coins. Their staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and will pay you top dollar!
