Very Nice and helpful and experienced with closing on homes or property
As a mortgage loan officer for Old Point Mortgage, I am extremely pleased at how responsive they are to my needs for my borrowers. I have never had an issue. Also many borrowers like to blame the title company when issues arise, I can assure you that isn't where the problems arise. Most challenges arise from the lender on the loan they are closing, and from seller or buyers side or realtors. There are many moving parts when closing a loan. Due to unforseen circumstances, we had to switch the company who we were supposed to close with. The staff here worked quick and made sure we were able to close on time with very very short notice. Kim was amazing.
Bella Trowbridge got the numbers wrong and doubled our monthly escrow payment in our closing documents. We were surprised to see an escrow of $1,041.33/M which should be $483.33/M with the property tax of $4600/Y and the insurance premium of $1200/Y , when asked, the mortgage (ShellpointMtg) simply said " we can't lower your escrow amount, your broker and closer made the mistake, ask them to fix it". After our broker found out he and Bella double calculated our escrow, he and my wife repeatedly asked Bella to fix this error ... read more
