The Cloak Room is a secret treasure located just west of the glorious Capitol Building. Venture down the steps of this historic building and enter a world largely populated by off-duty legislators, state workers and the occasional fortunate tourist, who happens upon the place while touring the Capitol grounds. All feel welcome and somewhat privileged in this intimate, darkly lit local bar.

Great old school bar. Perfectly fine bartender. If you want the bartender to smile and kiss your arse, you are at the wrong place. Free street parking out front if you are lucky.
The Cloak Room is that rarest of finds - a quiet bar. A place for actual drinks and conversation. Been coming here for 40 years. On our most recent visit Bev was nowhere to be found but the guy who was behind the bar made martinis true to her recipe. Also, best jukebox in town. A must-visit place when we are in town.
Friendly place. Cabe was flying solo as bartender and did a good job on a slow night.
