I had a tour at this property and when I arrived I was greeted by staff once I voiced that I had a tour scheduled I was immediately put on the back burner by the heavy set dark skin lady with dreads she stated that she was too busy to help me and pointed me to the young man in the corner after meeting him I learned his name is Jacques although because he was already working with someone it took about 30-45 minutes for him to get to me when she was sitting there the entire time although once I went on the tour I did love the ... read more
I moved here because of the great location and reputation, but I’m honestly heartbroken by how poorly this place is managed. For months, the elevator hasn’t worked, the gym AC is broken, and the building constantly smells damp and dirty. There have been two major floods, and the repairs are still not finished — the hallways and common areas look messy and neglected. Even worse, there are rats in the building. This location is a horrible area to live in, especially if you have minors in your household. For starters, they claim to be a non-smoking area... Wrong! I got tired of letting them know that our unit smells bad of Marijuana (we don't even smoke in our household, we have health issues). It is an ongoing crime area, it seems that every couple of days there are cars/motorcycles stolen/vandalized, garage break ins, non residents jumping over the apartment & rec areas. I've been here over a year and our quality of life has never been this low. We've stayed at other apartments in Alexandria. They've responded in kind and made things work better for us. I am finding it difficult to write anything about the apartment we've tried to make home. Yes, it's surrounded by restaurants, a grocery store and a dog park, but the frustrations (that's being kind) have only increased and my family and I are finding a more stressful lifestyle living in this specific apartment community. I had to wait 3 hours to get my keys to move in because they didn't have anyone working. They don't respond to maintenance requests timely. No one ever answers the office phone or reaches back out if you leave a voicemail. Bug problem in apartments and they don't clean before you move in. I also had water damage and they didn't fix it. They just painted over it.
Unfortunately, after living here for almost a year I have experienced many issues with this property and its management which will prevent me from renewing my lease. I was attracted to PT for the location, view, and amenities offered. Management staff was not accommodating whatsoever upon move in. Additionally, they are incredibly difficult to get ahold of. This place is the absolute worst, if I could leave 0 starts I would. If you want to get that downtown Chicago living experience this is not the place for you. Trust me you can do so much better. Shame on DAVID SCHWARTZ, CEO & CHAIRMAN for allowing that mother and her kids get evicted. These companies have been getting real greedy in the last fifteen years.
