When going to walk in ortho clinic for my husband who we believe has a fracture heel we were asked if it was a high acuity problem and he said no not knowing and then the lady at the front desk pulled up his chart and saw he has an appt on Monday with his pcp and denied us care because he “isn’t high acuity and has an appt with a pcp”. We came to the walk in clinic hoping to get an answer as he was in a lot of pain but walked away with frustration and no help. I almost walked out at my initial appointment when asked to fill out paperwork. The questions were so offensive, I refused to answer them. I had a total knee replacement surgery on November 13. I have been treated like a number the entire time. They neglected to send the referral for physical therapy, even after two months notice. I called their PT Department the day after surgery to be told they are scheduling in January. One of the best Hospitals that made me feel I Was important, not because your their patient , but important to the Doctor taking care of you. They really care. And good Doctors are hard to come by. You are the most important thing to them at that time, and they treat you like family.. , how much better can you get. And bedside manner is very important. This is the place you ‘ll find all you need with your Doctor and situation . Thank you. Also safe that you will be ok. Because of the care you’ll receive.
