This place is spectacular, and the service is fantastic. Wonderful people. The deco design is so classic and beautiful. Of course, the hotel's location at Times Square is what many people are looking for, but this hotel is just as good or better than the location.
Front desk staff is very poorly trained. Unable to hail a cab on three separate tries. Restaurant is extremely lacking in service and quality. Housekeeping is outstanding. Stayed in a two room suite which was very nice. Location is central to time square.
I've an ambassador elite on Marriott. This hotel is gross, carpets are damp, rooms are dated. I just checked out and couldn't wait to leave.
From the outset, the check-in process was problematic — staff were unable to locate my reservation despite my providing a confirmation number. Upon entering my room, I found the shades inoperable, the television positioned at an angle that made viewing from the bed impractical, and a visible stain on the side of the mattress.
