As far as the Dr's ,they have been great. Have had some issues on test being ordered and getting to facility and the test wasn't ordered. The biggest issue for us is the patient portal. Cannot get into the portal as a first time patient and cannot talk to anyone. Everything is done online. I have plenty experience with patient portals and accessing them and this is the worst I have ever experienced. The portal is the only way to access your information. So I learned today that basically if you can't pay a bill they discharge you, and you can't get an appointment. Heart problem or not. I understand I owe them money, but do to health issues I am unable to work, and disability takes forever. It should be about patient care! I shouldn't have to die or suffer, because I can't pay at this time. ?????
The doctors at the Heart Institute are good. My problem is the billing office. A test was done in Aug 2021 and we didn't receive the first bill until Feb 2022.
